A logic puzzle with digits: fill the board with no digit repeated in any row or column, following the greater-than and less-than signs between some cells. Short, calm games, comfortable to play with one finger.

How to play

Fill the board with the digits from 1 up to the board size (1 to 5 on a 5 × 5, for example) without repeating a digit in any row or column. Some cells have greater-than and less-than signs between them: the digit on the open side of the sign must be the bigger one.

Tips to get started

• A cell that must be smaller than another can never hold the highest digit, and one that must be bigger never holds a 1.
• Watch for chains of signs: three cells in a row, each smaller than the next, leave very few possible digits.
• When a digit fits in only one cell of a row, place it there even if that cell has other options.
